Here is some details Makarov Handgun Made in Russia by IMEZ = (made in Russia by a company Abbreviated IMEZ, Imported to the US by K.B.I. In Harrisburg, PA) IJ70-18A = (its a commercial Makarov, chambered in 9x18 makarov, standard capacity) Serial Numbr = A CP 0653 Import Serial number = H609427 3 import marks = A horseshoe looking mark with a P in it, A circle with an arrow pointing up, and a Circle with a mark that looks like a 'n' I can not for the life of me figure out how old it is. I know this is not a genuine Russian Makarov, that is beyond the point.

The left side of the frame is also marked with the same two characters followed by “3015” and 'A003989'. The right side of the slide is marked with two cyrillic characters followed by '-70” and 'Cal. 9mm Makarov'. The left of the grip at the bottom is marked 'Baikal', the right 'Made in Russia'. Barrel Length: 3 1/2” Sights / Optics: The front sight is a short blade fixed to the slide. The rear sight is a target style square notch pinned to the slide.
It is adjustable for elevation and windage. The top of the slide is has a rib with fine wavy serrations to reduce glare. Stock Configuration & Condition: The grip is black one piece checkered plastic that wraps around the backstrap, with smooth shallow thumb rests on each side. There is a lanyard ring protruding through a recessed area at the bottom rear of the left grip. Both grips have a circled star in the center and the bottom of the left grip is marked '“Baikal”' while the bottom of the right grip is marked “Made In Russia”. The checkering is sharp with no mars and there are light handling marks in the smooth parts of the grip. The grip is in about Excellent overall condition.
