To be frank, at this point I'm not nearly as much in it for the game as I am for the community. If it wasn't for this sub, I probably would have quit a while ago. You see, while I do like Bleach, it's not my #1 favorite anime (it's in my top 10, though).

And frankly, I've lived and breathed so much Bleach (the anime, not the chemical. That would be even more deadly) the past 2 years that it's gotten a little. So if I did start playing a new anime game, it would probably be for a different anime franchise (InuYasha, Ranma, RuroKen, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, FMA, FMP, Rosa-Vam, OMG all come to mind.) • • • •. I'm not against turn-based games, not at all! An old GB game 'Sword of Hope II' was what got me started on RPGs! But after playing BBS, turn-based for anime games just isn't the same (just like how after playing RuneScape, turn-based for RPGs just wasn't the same.) It might have been a different game? The one I played started me with some random monk character that I know was never in the anime or manga (I should know - I own the entirety of both) and some kiddie demon (like Shippo, but not Shippo).

I tried a few freebie pulls, got random people and demons. I wasn't about to invest my time another game like BBS but inferior to it in both gameplay and character pullability. Update on the Rurouni Kenshin Game. Skipping the menu system as its similar to every other gacha game, though all of the buttons are Japanese words instead of images (rather confusing to sift through before you know what's what.) The game overall is similar to Bleach with its combat system, though with a few changes.

The first image is the first level of the game. The buttons are similar to Bleach. Yellow is Normal Attacks, Blue are Strongs, Red is Special. All of these are determined by cards you equip to a character. Characters are free and you have Kenshin (speed) and Sanosuke (power) unlocked at the start.

Going by other games, 5* cards are likely to be Specials and ridiculously difficult to get. Initial summon (2 free cards) game me a 2 and 3* for Kenshin. You can dash a short (far enough to dodge an enemies attack, but only just,) by swiping the screen. This is where it changes a bit. The green button is defend. I initially thought it was Auto, but it seems the game doesn't have that feature. I didn't have need for it until the first boss.

The button left of the Strongs is your win button. It's charged by taking hits from enemies and when full activates some mode where all Strongs have 1 second Cool Down. It lasts about 5-8 seconds. The initial stages were just the same as bleach.
