The GMA (Graphics Media Accelerator) X4500 series is Intel's second graphics solution that supports Microsoft DirectX 10.0 and Shader Model 2.0 (the first was the Intel GMA X3500). In addition, it presents support for Intel Clear Video Technology, HDMI capabilities, and DisplayPort capabilities. Mar 23, 2018 - Your laptop's graphics processor is Intel GMA 4500MHD looks like it doesn't.

I have a Thinkpad X200 with Intel GMA 4500MHD onboard graphics. As of 2018, it seems that Intel is no longer supporting this card and there is no official driver available for Windows 10 on the Intel website. The generic driver provided by Windows does not support hardware 3D acceleration despite the card having OpenGL 2.1 capabilities. Does anybody know where Windows 10 compatible drivers for this card can be found? Given that neither Intel nor Microsoft have released one, is there a third party driver available anywhere, or one hacked together by enthusiasts? Failing that, what would it take to modify the Windows 7 driver so that it works in Windows 10? After a lot of digging around the internet I managed to find a custom driver that worked for me: To install I had to first disable Microsoft signature checking: • Run command prompt as administrator and type the following 2 commands: bcdedit -set loadoptions DISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING ON • Restart computer • Download the driver from the link above & install it • Re-enable signature checking: bcdedit -set loadoptions ENABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING OFF It worked, now it's 2018 and I have OpenGL 2.1, hooray.

7#9 chord. OpenGL version detected: 1.1 Version: 1.1.0 Vendor: Microsoft Corporation Renderer: GDI Generic Try upgrading your graphics drivers and/or your graphics hardware in case of pro blems. Then be suspicious, very suspicious unless you have really really old graphics chipset and/or windows driver.

A quick check to perform is to try a 3rd party OpenGL Version detector, such as Geeks 3D Caps Viewer from here (damn, I tried posting the link. But??) ( and, careful, watch out for all the other Big Green Dummy 'Download Now' buttons!!) If this util shows OpenGL 2 or 2.1 compatibility then I would believe it more than I believe Kivy 1.9.1 You could then try checking out this older 'portable' Kivy (version 1.8.0) which, after copying down to PC and unzipping, will work as a standalone 'portable' version -- you just gotta read the readme and run it from a batch file. You might want to take other steps to stop it interfering with an existing Windows Python 2.7 install??

(damn it, why won't it let me post these links properly from Chrome!) If that 1.8.0 version work OK please drop a note back to this thread. Ok, there could be lots of other issues stopping Kivy 1.9.1 working properly. But the steps above worked for me. Berlodo 16/1/2017, 9:17 น.
